As we as a society evolve from a 4.0 to a 5.0 society, where technology and human well-being converges, we must be prepared to adapt and cultivate essential skills and mindsets that will allow for a smooth and transition.

First things first one must understand what society 5.0 is. This concept envisions the blend of digital technologies with physical systems, prioritizing human needs and convenience. It improves upon just automating tasks instead emphasizing wellbeing and sustainability. (Richard, 2021)

Secondly, the entrepreneurial mindset is another beneficial view to have:

-            Being creative allows for those to identify and come up with unique solutions to issues.

-            Resilience where one is able to embrace change, learn from setbacks and failures and still persevere.

-            Be able to take calculated risks.

-            Continuously learn and evolve, as the entrepreneurial journey is a perpetual curve where stagnation is the enemy, embracing lifelong learning ensures relevance and agility. (OpenStax, n.d.)

-            Be able to network and connect with fellow individuals that may hold useful knowledge or experience that can be helpful. (OpenStax, n.d.)

Whilst the entrepreneurial mindset is a critical thing to have, there is also a need for a certain set of skills in order to be fully prepared and ready to tackle the shift from society 4.0 to 5.0, them being:

-            Digital literacy, whereby you have a deep understanding of emerging technologies and their uses.

-            Adaptability and the agile mindset where you are constantly assessing yourself and are able to navigate ever changing landscapes. (Tornjanski & Čudanov, 2021)

-            Problem solving. Complex issues require analytical skills, breaking down problems, exploring multiple angles and formulating solutions.

-            Sustainability awareness, where there is a care for the environmental and societal impacts of their systems and lifestyles. (Tornjanski & Čudanov, 2021)

Society 5.0 is a concept that originated in Japan, envisioning the evolution of society into new stage where digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and robotics, are integrated into every aspect of daily life to solve social problems and enhance the well-being of individuals.

additionally to adapt and merge with the society 5.0 there are a few keys to achieve it most notable: (investment in infrastructure, education and learning, collaboration, focus on sustainability, ethical consideration)

when covid broke out for the first time an AI revolution came with it as people tried to adapt to the environment at that time by minimizing going out doors and trying to enhance the usage of  the AI, big data, digital currency ..etc to make activities easier and more efficient without taking the risk, same goes to adapting to the society with only different methods.

The basic prerequisite for any kind of adaptation is the correspondence of the basic nature of the connected systems. If we disregard this, we might easily walk into the trap of analogy-homology. To put it simply: things with completely similar external features may in fact be completely different in basic nature. If they are not identical on the level of basic nature (homology), a solution successfully applied in one area cannot be applied in or transferred to the other area. (Károly Nagy et a)

A utopian world where everyone enjoys high status, depicted in a harmonious and advanced society. The image shows a cityscape with futuristic architecture, lush green parks, and clean, wide streets. People of diverse descents and genders, all dressed in elegant, stylish clothing, are engaging in various activities like discussing, walking, and relaxing. The environment is pristine, with solar panels and wind turbines seamlessly integrated into the buildings. Advanced, eco-friendly vehicles move smoothly along the roads, and in the sky, drones and flying cars coexist peacefully. The atmosphere is serene, with a clear blue sky and the sun shining brightly.

Society 5.0 is described by the Japanese Government as a society which people solve their issues and problems using new technologies such as AI, robots, big data etc. It is the next stage in the the society X.0 chain, with 1.0 being a hunting society and 4.0 being information society

One of the biggest challenges we need to adapt to is security risks and digital literacy. Phishing and pharming are some of the biggest challenges that we will face as more and more technologies are integrated into our lives. In 2020, around 33% of all cyber crimes were phishing and pharming (FinSMEs, 2021). In order to protect ourselves, especially older users, awareness needs to be spread and people need to be educated on these risks.

Digital literacy is also a necessary skill to have in order to distinguish fake and wrong information from the correct information. With the rise of AI and different technologies like deepfakes, it has become very easy to spread misinformation. It is necessary for people to learn how to distinguish these falsehoods from the truth.

Society 5

A Japanese concept known as "Society 5.0" aims to transform society by integrating big data, robotics, IoT, artificial intelligence, and other technology innovations into all facets of daily life. It depicts a society of the future in which physical infrastructure and digital technologies are seamlessly combined to improve people's quality of life and the sustainability of society as a whole. (Deguchi, 2020)

Several strategies exist for adjusting to society 5.0. Here are a few strategies for adjusting to civilization 5.0:

 1.  Accept digital transformation: Digital technologies play a major role in Society 5.0. By implementing and incorporating technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and big data analytics into their daily operations and lifestyles, people and businesses may embrace digital transformation. (Dr, 2019)

2.        2.  Make sure technology is used responsibly and ethically: As technology is used more and more in society, it is crucial to make sure that it is used in a way that respects human rights and privacy and is transparent. While developing and utilizing technology, people and organizations should give ethical issues first priority. (Dr, 2019)

Society 5.0 is a visionary concept introduced by the Japanese government in 2016. It envisions a harmonious fusion of technology and society, with a strong focus on human well-being and problem-solving. Here are the key points:

Human-Centric Approach: Society 5.0 places people at the center. It aims to enhance quality of life by leveraging cutting-edge technologies like AIIoT, and big data (Dinis Guarda, 2023).

Integration of Digital and Physical Worlds: Unlike previous industrial revolutions, Society 5.0 seeks to seamlessly blend cyberspace and physical space. This integration enables personalized services, efficient resource utilization, and improved urban living.

Simultaneous Progress and Social Solutions: Society 5.0 aims for economic growth while addressing societal challenges. It tackles issues like aging populations, environmental sustainability, and healthcare through innovation.
